It would be impossible for Ross-Ellis to calibrate all of our client’s printers, but we can help you calibrate your own. We will provide you with a PDF file we use to match on the press along with our own physical test prints. These tests have been used to calibrate our plate output dot gain curve.
Here is the PDF used:
Feel Free to contact the Ross-Ellis prepress department to receive a physical test form for you to compare.
Ross-Ellis uses the GRACoL2006 color profile to convert out of standard color builds. You can either synchronize all your CS4 applications by loading the file REColorSettingC1.csf into Adobe Bridge or Photoshop.
The profile GRACoL2006_Coated1v2_PerfX.icc will be embedded into the color setting. If you need to add the profile to non-Adobe software, you can use the .icc profile alone.
To go from any color-space (LAB, RGB, Multichannels) to CMYK, use the “Convert to Profile” tool in Photoshop. This does not embed the profile into the image but converts the file to CMYK using the color lookup table of the profile.
